    Manatee saves home owner property taxes

    For 2 years in a row, appearing before different Special Masters, the argument of the “Slow Down for Manatees” sign, was used to lower the property tax assesment on a water front home in Miami Beach. Instead of a “panoramic view”, it was now a “partially obstructed view”

    The homeowner was very glad to receive a tax refund from Miami Dade County

    although the elected officials will not lower propertytaxes, it took a manatee to do the job…
