Recent 10-mile sheen dissipates, but anxiety runs high as region marks second anniversary of disaster

The sheen, about a mile wide and 10 miles long, was discovered in the Gulf on Wednesday, April 11. Tomorrow, April 20, marks two years since the devastating explosion and oil spill that killed 11 workers and sent oil and tar balls washing onto beaches and shorelines from Louisiana to Northwest Florida, including Pensacola Beach.
