A New Era for Labor on the American Shoreline
What will labor on the future American Shoreline?
On this Labor Day special, hosts Peter Ravella and Tyler Buckingham speak with Dr. Bo Delp about the history and tradition of the labor movement and how new investments in climate resilience and clean energy in the Inflation Reduction Act are revitalizing the union workforce on the American Shoreline and beyond. Dr. Delp is the executive director of Texas Climate Jobs Project, a statewide nonprofit advancing a pro-worker, pro-climate agenda to build the Texas labor movement. For nearly a decade, Bo has worked to support strategic organizing by helping secure more than a dozen municipal and county policies and organizing victories, including the first paid sick time ordinance in the South and the first Responsible Bidder Ordinance in Texas.
