April 20, 2022

How tourism can lead the charge to sustainability?

Join host Arica Sears as she interviews Marco Lucero, co-founder of Cuidadores de Destinos (Caretakers of Destinations), about the future of tourism and some possible paths to get there. This fairly new and innovative organization has quietly and poetically blown up the status quo of tourism. They have reimagined destination management with an ethical perspective and believe in a narrative shared and respected by communities, appealing to sustainability and, above all, with responsibility in the face of the climate crisis. Their mission focuses on dialogue and reflection, providing residents and governments with new tools with which to dream of the new future of the territories with all its parties involved. Listen in to this conversation which has a little bit of tourism management, climate action, community planning and a whole lot of visionary tourism mic drop moments. Only on ASPN!
